This policy explains what information the Danang.Plus English edition (en.danang.plus) collects and how we use it. The site is run by Công ty TNHH Công nghệ và Truyền thông GenPlus (GenPlus Technology and Media Company Limited), 120 Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street, Hoa Cuong ward, Da Nang, Vietnam.

In short

As of the date above, en.danang.plus sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or other third-party scripts. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us, through the contact form or by email, plus the technical data described below.

Information you send us

When you use our contact form, we store your name, email address and message, together with your IP address, your browser's user agent, the address of the page you sent it from and the time you sent it. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains. We use this only to read and answer your message. Comments are turned off on this site.

Contact form messages are stored in our database and can be read only by GenPlus staff who manage the site. Emails you send us are kept in our company mailbox, which is hosted by our email provider, Lark. We do not sell your messages, send them to email marketing services or share them with anyone else, except the providers that host them, or when the law requires us to. We keep a message until we have dealt with it and no longer need it, and we delete it sooner if you ask.

Information collected automatically

  • Your browser's storage. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. The site also saves your reading position in each article there. Neither is sent to us.
  • Pages that are not found. When someone opens an address that does not exist, we record the address, the page they came from and the browser's user agent, without the IP address, to fix broken links. Each record is deleted once 90 days pass without a new visit to that address.
  • Technical logs. Our web server keeps technical logs that can include IP addresses, used to run the site and protect it from abuse; older entries are overwritten as new ones are added. Our application also keeps an error log, which records software errors rather than visits. IP addresses are also used briefly to limit how often the contact form and other parts of the site can be used.

Where your information is kept

The site runs on a server provided by OVH in Frankfurt, Germany. Cloudflare provides only the site's domain name service (DNS); as of the date above, the pages you request do not pass through Cloudflare. The security certificate comes from Let's Encrypt. Our database, including contact messages, is backed up daily on the same server, and those backups are deleted after 7 days, so a message you ask us to delete can remain in a backup for up to 7 days.

Our guides link to the sources we used, and each guide has Facebook and X share buttons. These are plain links: nothing is sent to those sites unless you click one. When you follow any link to another site, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete any message you have sent us by emailing contact@genplusmedia.com. You can clear the light or dark mode setting and reading positions at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site.

Children

The site is written for adults planning travel or living in Da Nang. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16; if you believe a child has sent us a message, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page before we add analytics, advertising or affiliate links, before Cloudflare starts handling visits to the site, and before any other change to how information is collected. The date at the top will change with it.
