Look up a Da Nang night market and several travel pages still send you to the corner of Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De streets, or describe the Helio Night Market on 2 Thang 9 Street as it ran until September 2025. Neither matches what you will find there in October 2026.
Here is where the main night markets for visitors are, when they open, what a July 2026 price check found, and how to get back to your hotel after the buses stop.

Where to find Son Tra Night Market
Skip the old address on Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De streets. Son Tra Night Market (chợ đêm Sơn Trà) has been on Vo Van Kiet Street, at the foot of the Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng) on the east bank, in An Hai ward, since August 1, 2025.
The market opened in September 2018 on those two streets. In April 2025 the city picked DHTC Đa Năng Joint Stock Company, which had run the market before, to lease plots A2-4 and A2-5, beside the bridge's approach road and near the old site, for three years. To find it on a map, search for "Chợ Đêm Sơn Trà" or the plus code 366J+8M; it sits next to the Love Bridge (Cầu Tình Yêu) and the Carp Becoming a Dragon statue (tượng Cá chép hóa rồng).
A May 2026 report counted more than 300 stalls in two sections, food and souvenirs, and the operator said the market takes 4,000–6,000 visitors a night, or 8,000–10,000 at peak times, many of them from South Korea, China and India. Visitors were still posting reviews of it on October 2 and 3, 2026.
Opening hours and the best night to go
Go between about 7:00 and 9:00 pm, as the tourism portal suggests for the liveliest atmosphere, and on a fire-show night if you want the market at its busiest. A newspaper report in August 2025 put the market's peak later, from 9:00 pm until late at night. The portal lists 5:00–11:00 pm as reference hours, while the market's Google Maps listing gives 5:30–11:45 pm from Monday to Friday, 5:00–11:59 pm on Saturday and 5:30–11:59 pm on Sunday, and the 2025 plan for the new site set 5:30 pm to midnight every day.
The Dragon Bridge breathes fire, then water, at 9:00 pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and on major public holidays, and traders said in 2025 that the market is busiest on those nights. This guide suggests not arriving right at opening time: one visitor, in a review posted in September 2025, found only a few stalls open at 5:30 pm, and the non-food stalls did not look like a proper market until after 6:00 pm. For the best places to watch the show, see the Dragon Bridge guide.
Prices, touts and what the July 2026 check found
Check the price board before you order, above all for seafood. After social media posts alleging overcharging, stale seafood, watered-down watermelon juice and poor hygiene, An Hai ward had officers make a preliminary check of the market on the night of July 25, 2026. At that check, the seafood, food and drink stalls had basically all posted price boards or menus, and officers did not find any cases of charging prices other than those posted, payment fraud, pressuring customers over prices or forcing them to buy.
The ward said this was only an initial result from the time of the check, not enough to reach a full conclusion on the complaints about food quality and safety. It said an inter-agency team would check food sources and take samples, and would also check that stalls post their prices and stick to them.
Reviews are mixed. Visitors often mention touting in the food section, and several found their meals overpriced. One visitor, in a review posted in November 2025, said they paid 600,000 VND (about US$23.5) for a lobster set whose lobsters were not the ones they had picked. Others found the souvenirs reasonably priced, especially after bargaining, and some questioned the freshness of the seafood at certain stalls.
Street vendors have also worked the area outside the gate. In August 2025, dozens of them moved in around the gate from 9:00 pm, quoting prices by word of mouth with nothing posted, after the patrols had ended; traders inside pay for their stalls and must post prices. The ward then said it would keep officers on duty at the market until midnight every day, and in July 2026 it said street vendors had been appearing in large numbers around the market.
That month, the city told agencies to tighten control of street vending, naming the area around the market and the Dragon Bridge. On July 8, 2026, police fined a durian vendor near the market 7,500,000 VND (about US$291) for parking in the road and street vending where it is banned, after tourists accused him of using a rigged scale. This guide suggests buying from stalls inside the market that show a price, and agreeing on the price and weight of any seafood before it is cooked.
What you can eat and buy
Pick your seafood from the ice and say how you want it cooked. The market's stalls sell shrimp, octopus, squid, clams and crab, which they grill with scallion oil, steam with lemongrass or roast with salt, alongside bánh xèo, mì Quảng, bún mắm nêm, bánh cuốn, skewers and grilled meat.
On the souvenir side, stalls sell clothes, conical hats and keychains with Hoi An and Dragon Bridge designs, and an artist sketches portraits. For what mì Quảng, bánh xèo and bún mắm nêm are, and what they cost elsewhere in the city, see the Da Nang street food guide.
Helio Night Market and B.Fair
Expect a smaller, family-friendly market at Helio rather than the one older guides describe. Helio Play, Helio Kids and Helio Night Market (chợ đêm Helio) on 2 Thang 9 Street closed temporarily on September 5, 2025, for a full renovation, and visitors' reviews show the night market open again by early March 2026, under the names B. Night Market and B.Fair.

Helio Center has repositioned itself as an "Art Mall", and Helio says B.Fair carries on the spirit of the Helio Night Market, mixing local culture with art, fashion, food and entertainment. It is at the corner of 2 Thang 9 and Phan Dang Luu streets and opens from 5:00 to 11:00 pm every day. B.Fair scheduled lion dances at 8:00 pm on seven nights in September 2026.
Helio says the night market is designed for families, and in April 2026 it said it was adding vendors and activities. Visitors often praise the live music and the children's play area, and many also find it small, with fewer food stalls than they expected.

Bach Dang walking street and other evening spots
Cross the river if you want a walk rather than a market. Bach Dang walking street (phố đi bộ Bạch Đằng) runs 1.2 km (0.7 miles) along the west bank between the Dragon Bridge and Tran Thi Ly Bridge, opens daily from 3:00 pm to midnight and is pedestrian-only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Its kiosks sell food, drinks and souvenirs, and the city's culture center held a street music night, with dance acts, there on August 15, 2026. Visitors have complained of a bad smell along parts of the river walk; one described it as wastewater.

The Dragon Bridge, 666 m long with a sidewalk on each side, links the walking street with the night market. In Ngu Hanh Son ward, An Thuong Night Market (chợ đêm An Thượng) opened as a pilot on Tran Bach Dang Street in July 2023 and was still drawing visitors in late September 2026. It opens from 6:00 to 11:00 pm every day, and one visitor, in a review posted in September 2026, found some sellers pushy. For Hoi An's night market on Nguyen Hoang Street, opposite the Japanese Covered Bridge (Chùa Cầu), see the Hoi An night market guide.
Getting there and back
Plan your ride home before you go, because the buses stop early. Two bus routes cross the Dragon Bridge: route 06, between the airport and Vietnam-Korea University, has its last departures at 7:25 pm from the airport and 7:00 pm from the university, and route 13 runs only until 6:15 pm, so both stop before the 9:00 pm fire show.
After that, Grab's published Da Nang rates for a 4-seat GrabCar are 27,000 VND (about US$1) for the first 2 km, then 12,175 VND (about US$0.47) per km, plus a charge for travel time. Grab says its fares can be adjusted with demand at different times of day, and its surcharges, which vary by service, include a night surcharge. If you are coming from Han Market (chợ Hàn) or the west bank, you can also walk across the Dragon Bridge; see the Han Market guide for the market's daytime hours.
Sources and how we checked
We covered Son Tra Night Market and the Helio Night Market, which the city's tourism portal wrote about in 2025–2026, plus Bach Dang walking street and An Thuong Night Market as other evening spots; this is not every night market in the city. We used Danang Fantasticity, the city's tourism portal, for addresses, reference hours and the Helio closure; Vietnamese newspapers for the Son Tra market's move, the July 2026 price check and street vending; An Hai ward's website for its 2025 patrol plan; Helio Center's website for B.Fair; and Danabus for the bus routes, all checked on October 3, 2026. In a web search the same day, we found no published result of the inter-agency check the ward announced in July 2026. Some opening hours, the reopening at Helio, touting and what visitors paid come from the markets' Google Maps listings and reviews, read on October 3, 2026; we report a point as fact only where at least two visitors said the same thing, and otherwise say it was one visitor. Where sources disagree, on the opening hours and on the busiest time of night, we give each of them. US dollar amounts use Vietcombank's transfer rate of 25,800 VND per US$ on October 1, 2026, rounded to the nearest cent below US$1, US$0.5 up to US$100, US$1 up to US$10,000 and US$1,000 above that.
