Hospitals and clinics in Da Nang for foreigners: emergency numbers and help in English

Falling ill on a trip, or needing a doctor in your first months in the city, is harder when you do not know which hospitals in Da Nang (Đà Nẵng) take foreign patients or which number to call at night. A wrong guess can cost you time when you have little to spare.

This guide lists the emergency numbers, five private hospitals and clinics, three public hospitals and two 24-hour pharmacies, with what each hospital's or clinic's website says about help in English. Every hospital and clinic address and phone number comes from that facility's own website. To match an older address to Da Nang's new wards, use the ward lookup in the districts and wards guide.

Which hospital or clinic to go to in Da Nang

Pick a place before you need one, because the right choice depends on whether you need English, an emergency room or your insurer's direct billing. If you need a doctor who speaks English, try Family Medical Practice Da Nang, an international clinic at 96–98 Nguyen Van Linh, whose doctors' profiles list English. Its emergency line, *1616 or +84 913 917 303, runs 24/7.

For an ambulance, call 115, the medical emergency number; the city's emergency center coordinates ambulances from nine stations. Vietnam plans to merge 113, 114 and 115 into a single number, 113, with the change expected from the third quarter of 2027, so as of October 2026, 115 is the number to call.

The table shows the phone line to call at each hospital or clinic, with its emergency line where the website gives one, and what its website says about help in English.

"Not stated" means the facility's website does not mention English, not that no one there speaks it. If it is not an emergency and you have travel or health insurance, call your insurer's assistance line before you go, because the hospitals that offer direct billing each work with their own list of insurers.

Private hospitals and clinics

Check which private hospital or clinic fits what you need, because they differ: four of the five say on their websites that they help patients in English, and four bill insurers directly. Bring your passport and insurance card: Hoan My Da Nang Hospital, for example, asks patients using direct billing for their insurance card and a photo ID such as a passport, and sees them in its International area.

Pharmacies open 24 hours

Check Pharmacity's current list before you go at night, because the version used here is dated June 4, 2026. It names two 24-hour stores in Da Nang: 186 Le Duan (Thanh Khe) and 189 Nguyen Van Thoai (An Hai).

Save 115 and one private emergency line in your phone, so you are not searching for a number in an emergency. If you do not have a Vietnamese number yet, the SIM card and eSIM guide covers buying one at Da Nang airport. Carry your passport and insurance card whenever you go to a hospital.

Sources and how we checked

We used each hospital's or clinic's own website for its address, phone numbers and opening hours, Pharmacity's website for the pharmacies, and reports from Vinmec and Tuoi Tre for the emergency numbers, all checked on October 1–2, 2026. We mention help in English only where the facility's own site says so. This guide lists facilities and contacts; it is not medical advice.
